What Is the Perfect Secret to a Good Soup?

Chicken stock, lots of it! If you have tried to make good soup and have failed at it time and time again. There is only one secret it’s gotta be homemade and it’s got to be well seasoned. Do not buy that stuff they sell at the grocery store. It is full of sodium and food preservatives. They might have an okay quality at the very expensive “organic” markets but why spend so much for chicken stock that only takes a minute to make. So here it is: Chicken bones, browned in the oven just a little bit of oil. Simmer with dried herbs, bay leaves, and a little “herb sash” simmer for a good 3 to 4 hours with a little salt and that is it. The good part about this is that this can be frozen, and used as you might need for a couple of months. Try to make your minestrone, lentil, chicken noodle, you name it, get creative and have fun. Serve it up to your family and loved ones. Make sure that it is hot and give the ones that you love crackers with their soup. If yo season it right then they won’t need to use salt or pepper. If you see them using salt and pepper, then you know that you needed to add more seasoning to your soup.
